AMADI is “MAJOR”: Just ask MajorDC in Georgetown!

Monday, December 1st, 2008

As the year 2008 comes to an end, we here at AMADI Magazine have “MAJOR” plans for 2009. We encourage everyone to start setting their new goals or revisit existing goals. We want everyone in the DMV and across the world to be “MAJOR” in all areas of their life! We hope you are ready for the AMADI Clothing line, film productions and our special guests in 2009. If you think you are “MAJOR” or know anyone who is “MAJOR” in the areas of Business, Music, Fashion or Art, please encourage them to contact us and join our mailing list!

We would like to thank everyone for their support!

Adam Butler is the host and producer of Mindstream Radio. Adam was born and raised in the DMV area. He went to Prince Georges Community College, but now he attends the University of Maryland University College. Adam has a lot of love for what DC has to offer: from its music, to its culture, politics, people and its unique qualities in general.

Paul Spann is also the host and producer of the Mindstream Radio show; he was born in North Carolina, but was raised most of his life in the DMV. He also attended Prince Georges Community College, and the Connecticut school of Broadcasting.

Adam and Paul look forward to having the DMV’s influences and perspectives reach out far beyond this area, becuase they want the rest of the world see what the DMV has to offer.

MajorDC is “MAJOR” everything else is “MINOR”

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Look up the word “Major” and you will see that it means “one of superior rank and ability”. That’s exactly what you get with a visit to Washington, DC’s first true sneaker shop MajorDC. Since first opening its doors in the Georgetown section of DC in December 2006, MajorDC has become a major player in the sneaker and streetwear community. Their collaboration with New Era has been their biggest hit, not to mention their fitted caps have been seen in music videos from David Banner, Bun-B, and Skillz.  Partners Underdog the DJ and Dukki have single handily changed the culture in DC from Nike Boots and 992 to the latest Nike Dunks and the extremely hot HellBoy Adidas.
