OBAMA’s Swagger at its Finest!
Tuesday, January 20th, 2009Tribute to Ronado Butler, R.I.P.!
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009Ronado Butler 19, was known to many as “Nardy” or “Nardo”. I knew Ronado as “Nardy” through my best friend, Demetria Thomas aka “Meme”, his aunt. Over the years, I became extremely close with the Butler family and considered Nardy as the nephew I never had. Nardy was known to be a very humorous and loved to have a good time with his family and friends. He really enjoyed hanging out with his childhood friends from Fort Washington, MD, his younger brothers and his cousins. Ronado was in the middle of a new chapter in his life; he just started a new career with Comcast Communications, Inc. Within the last few months, I ran into Nardy and one thing I noticed was that he was beginning to declare a sense of independence as a strong young black man! It was great to see that glow on his face as he talked about his training program at Comcast and I was so ecstatic about this new opportunity.
When new opportunities present themselves, sometimes we all need to either close a chapter in our life or proceed with completing existing chapters in our lives. It was great to see Nardy, who I have known since he was 7 years old, embarking on a new opportunity.
Ronado Butler will be truly missed and my prayers are with his family and friends.
R.I.P. Nardy, We Love you!
