Saturday, February 21st, 2009

Gerald Walker tracks are here!

AMADI: Who is Gerald Walker the artist, what’s your style? How long have you been rapping?

GW: Honestly I don’t consider myself a rapper! And I don’t have a particular “style”. People naturally allocate artist into categories. I just make all different types of music! Like seriously hahaha! My next project “Evening out With Your Girlfriend” will encompass all the things I do.

Our President is Black, so what’s next for YOU?

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

I really dig the Young Jeezy feat. Jay-Z and Nas song My President is Black! But, how do you plan to set up your situation where you can have a BLUE Lamborghini, a BLACK Maybac or be addicted to rockin’ RALPH Lauren Polo. I guess the real question is during these next 4 years of President Obama’s term, what do you plan to do to make your QUALITY of life better? We as a community can make things better by: (1) getting a QUALITY education (in these TOUGH economical times) (2) getting involved in our communities (3) evaluating our CURRENT financial situations and (4) making a TRUE effort to do better in all areas of our lives. There are so many things we can do that does not require us to talk about how much money we have or what fresh gear we are rockin! What are your thoughts?

BRAVO to the “Forgotten City”!!

Friday, February 6th, 2009

AMADI: Who is Bravo of the “Forgotten City”?

BRAVO: Well, as you know I go by the name of Bravo, but Andre’ is my birth given name. I’m young, but my level of maturity and my laid back swag is what I feel that sets me apart from a lot of artists my age. I will only be 19 yrs old come this July, but a lot of people get the impression that I’m older when they hear my music and assume that I’m in my 20’s or something. I guess the deep voice and the swag is what gets them!  I was born and raised in Northeast DC…

Jesus Christ: Above Church & Beyond Denominations

Friday, February 6th, 2009

Website: http://www.abmovie.org

Have you ever wondered why things are the way they are? Why do we go to church once a week? Why on Sunday? How did it go from sandals and robes to stuffed suites and Stacy Adams? An online documentary has just been released called “Jesus Christ: Above Church & beyond Denominations” or AB Movie for short. This online documentary takes a look into the history of the church & the urgent call for unity amongst its believers. This film exclaims that Church is much bigger than our buildings or our religion. When you find out how big you’ll never see Church the same way again. The films focus is to get you focused on Jesus. It’s controversial and refreshing. For those of you frustrated at church as usual here’s some relief. The person behind the documentary wishes to remain anonymous, but wanted AMADI Magazine take make sure to let the people know, “I’m from DC!”
