Friday, September 11th, 2009

With the popularity of social media, it’s not hard to find out about an event going on in any major city.  But there is much more that goes into promoting for an event than sending a mass Facebook or Myspace invite.  In fact, Trevor Trowell, owner of Trewell Entertainment, started  building his clientele by being face to face with partygoers.  This tactic has proven successful, as he was a staple for three years at Love Nightclub in Washington, DC.

Mambo Sauce: “The Recipe” Album

Friday, September 11th, 2009

Mambo Sauce is one of DC’s hottest bands and they are known for wonderful conscious lyrical content and a great melody mix of GO-GO, hip-hop and alternative rock. From day one, Mambo Sauce made it clear that they believe in “Miracles” and your dreams can come true. The Future of Hip-Hop: J. McCoy

Friday, September 11th, 2009

It is not often that young aspiring entertainers are dubbed royalty before the release of their first album. But then again, J. McCoy is not the average young musician. McCoy (born Joshua Michael Nahum McCoy), has burst into the hip hop scene and is considered by many as the true “Prince of Hip Hop.” Already seeing success with multiple new singles, a reality series, and a movie role, the young talent out of California has no signs of letting loose the grip he holds on the music industry.  McCoy is striving to be a household name, already being well recognized in multiple regions around the U.S.

AMADI Magazine caught up with J. McCoy for a chance to get to know the teen rapper. McCoy was delighted to talk about his start in music, the debut project, and his aspirations as a young emcee. We introduce AMADI readers to the new face of hip hop – the young and talented J. McCoy wouldn’t have it any other way…
