The recent tragedy in Haiti has many people thinking about how they can help the relief efforts. Peculiar People, a Gospel GoGo Band from the DC metropolitan area, had the idea of putting on a benefit concert, with all of the proceeds going towards relief efforts in Haiti. On Martin Luther King Day of this year, the concert was successfully held, raising over $5,000 for the cause.
This Martin Luther King Day 1/18/2010, the DMV will gather together in Unity in one place to show our Love to the people of Haiti who are presently in dire need of many different kinds of assistance.

The President has been receiving updates on the urgent situation in Haiti late into last night and throughout the day, and top members of his team have been convening to formulate the government response.
