Haiti Relief Benefit Concert at COH

The recent tragedy in Haiti has many people thinking about how they can help the relief efforts. Peculiar People, a Gospel GoGo Band from the DC metropolitan area, had the idea of putting on a benefit concert, with all of the proceeds going towards relief efforts in Haiti. On Martin Luther King Day of this year, the concert was successfully held, raising over $5,000 for the cause.

This Martin Luther King Day 1/18/2010, the DMV will gather together in Unity in one place to show our Love to the people of Haiti who are presently in dire need of many different kinds of assistance.

Bands and Spoken Word Artist have joined together for this cause: ACROSS LIFE, REACTION BAND, PECULIAR PEOPLE, iWRITE AND BACKYARD BAND!!!! WPGC 95.5 is offering their support and will be Broadcasting Live from the Event and Community of Hope AME Church has opened their doors and are working to see that this event is successful. $10 Donation. More Guest Artist, Public Figures, and Organizations to be added!
