by Toccara Lanett

Wildchild clothing has been receiving major television exposure on being featured on various episodes of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew and the MADE series.

The company has expanded the in-store availability of the line.  For our DC area readers, you can now purchase Wildchild Nation clothing at Commander Salamander in Georgetown.  Check them out in the fall display!

In addition to all the success that Wildchild has been receiving, their latest and greatest venture yet, is their new website Threaderstyle.com.  Threader is the place where Wildchild gives dance crews and celebrity choreographers an exclusive chance to gain exposure and expand their consumer base online.

Think of Threader as the perfect way to feed the “starving artists” of the dance world.  Through the website, the dancers are able to sell their merchandise to the masses through the internet instead having to rely solely on setting up a stand wherever they may be teaching or performing. “We have a very unique position in being able to bring everyone together, Marc explains. “[Dancers and crews] have an audience and they have a brand, but they don’t always have a way to earn money from it to support themselves.”

Threader currently features clothing from 9 different lines and there are about 30 additional lines in the works to be featured.  They also strive to use the site as a venue to “communicate the history of hip-hop,” by giving consumers a chance to learn more about the crews and choreographers.

Keep checking the site for new clothing lines and accessories from your favorite dance crews and celebrity choreographers!  www.threaderstyle.com

I think it’s really hot that there is a dedicated spot for dancers to go to not only get all the gear they need but to educate themselves on the history of their craft as well. This site should have been big years ago.
